Commission Process

Are you interested in commissioning a landscape painting from me?

I'm so grateful, let's chat!

Here's a little info before we begin.

Commissioned paintings start at $150 for an 8x10, and increase from there.
I offer the following sizes: 8x10, 9x12, 11x14, 16x20, but will be happy to work with you if you'd like something larger.
Paintings are done on canvas boards. I like to work on these flat boards for their durability and easy framing.
Complementary framing is also available.

Here's how the process works:

INQUIRY FORM- Fill out the form below to give me a better understanding of what you’re looking for in your painting. This information will be used to help me produce a painting that you absolutely love! Please be as detailed as possible.
QUOTE- Once I have this information, I'll send you quote to give you a better idea of price point and wait time.
DEPOSIT- If you're ready to move forward, you''ll pay a 50% deposit.
UNDERPAINTING APPROVAL- Once I receive the deposit, I'll start with an "underpainting." This is like a rough draft of the painting that focuses on the composition (what's in the painting, proportions, etc.) I'll send you photos for your approval.
PAINTING BEGINS- Once you've approved the underpainting, I'll begin working on the final piece. This can takes weeks or months, depending on the size of the painting and the timeline we've agreed upon.
FINAL APPROVAL- When it's completed, I'll send you photos for your final approval. You'll have the opportunity to make small changes.
VARNISH- After the painting is finalized, it will be varnished.
DELIVERY- Once the varnish is dry, it'll be on it's way to you! either by mail or local delivery. The remaining balance will be due prior to delivery. Shipping fees will be calculated and added to the remaining balance.
